Shoulder Pain

New Invention

Dr. Brady invented both a technique as well as a shoulder implant for the repair of AC joint dislocations. The AC joint is the Acromio-Clavicular joint. It is where the clavicle (or the collar bone) joins with the scapula (or the shoulder blade bone). Sometimes patient's injure this joint with a fall on the shoulder. The diagnosis is made with physical exam and x-rays. Often times patient's will notice that something is "sticking up" in their shoulder!

Dr. Brady's invention is called the "Dog-Bone" because of the shape of the implant. An implant is a small device used in the body to repair something. It is implanted in the body. The Dog-Bone implant is a type of a 'washer' which is used to secure the clavicle back down into it's normal position allowing the body's torn ligaments to heal. It is an arthroscopic procedure. The strength of this type of repair has been tested and is TWICE as strong as any other repair technique in existence!!!
