Joshua Hawkins, PA-C

Joshua Hawkins, PA-C| Board Certified Physician Assistant

Joshua Hawkins has been working with Dr. Brady since 2005.  Initially Josh was a surgical technician who worked with Dr. Brady in the operating room.  Josh was such a fantastic surgical technician that when he informed Dr. Brady that he was interested in going to PA school, Dr. Brady asked him to come to work with him after he completed PA school.

Growing up in Cleveland, Tennessee, Josh has always had his heart and roots in East Tennessee.  He has participated in multiple sports throughout his life and unfortunately suffered injuries to both his shoulder as well as his knee.   Perhaps this is an important experience which has allowed Josh to personally relate to patients undergoing either shoulder or knee surgery as Dr. Brady performed both of these surgeries on Josh in the past.  Thankfully he has made a full recovery and is back to an active lifestyle.

In addition to being Dr. Brady's first assistant in the operating room, Josh also takes care of patients in the clinic.  His knowledge base and experience is extensive and he also maintains a great deal of empathy for each and every patient.  He is a master at performing injections and is a huge asset to Dr. Brady's team.

Personal

Josh and his wife are amazing parents to two beautiful children.  They are both busier than ever however Josh still never misses a chance to root on the UT football team at every home game!  Go Vols!

Professional

Mr. Hawkins was invited to be a lab instructor at a recent Arthrex shoulder course in Naples, Florida.  In this role he assisted surgeons while they learned new techniques in the lab on cadaver shoulders.
